Our Mission

LAMAA: Brainerd, MN, United States; The Lakes Area Memory Awareness Advocates (LAMAA) is a local initiative, promoted by the Minnesota Alzheimer’s Association, to prepare everyone on the impact that dementia will have on our families, our friends, our neighbors and our communities as a whole. Our advocates are from various communities like Long Prairie, Onamia, Aitkin, Staples, Nisswa and the Brainerd Lakes Area. We are all volunteers and are all touched in some way by someone we know affected by Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.

Meetings

LAMAA meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at Home Instead Senior Care, 108 S. 6th St #3, Brainerd, MN 56401.

Presentations

Members of LAMAA would love to talk to your group or organization about Alzeheimer's Disease, dementia, and the effects of aging. Please,email us at memoryadvocates@gmail.com.
